Today is Veterans Day. We honor the men and women of our armed forces and their brave service to our nation and nations around the world.

There are a handful of books that have shaped my life. First and foremost, of course, is the Bible.
Since 1998, this week of October has been designated National Teen Read Week. From libraries to schools, it’s been a time to encourage and inspire teenagers in a love for more reading, and discovering new books.

As long as we kept our eyes focused on our common identity in Jesus, we were able to loosen the grip on our smaller cultural identities that we had held onto for so long.
