I am not far into this book, so I am not able to share much, but the story is about an Irish man that has indentured himself to ensure the passage of his brothers to America in the 1790s. His service is purchased by a woman representing her father and his estate. As Connor rebuilds a fire ravaged home, Isabella oversees his work, and the entire estate, as her father recovers. This fiction story promises a love story, so we will see how this all unfolds.

Ready or Not: Leaning into Life in Our Twenties by Drew Moser and Jess Fankhauser
I have read a number of books on the importance of maximizing life in your twenties, but never from a faith perspective, which is what makes Ready or Not so special. Reading from Drew and Jess is like talking to that cool upperclassman who feels like an older sibling and role model. They are conversational, candid, gracious, and challenging. I am encouraged by the call not to just make a lot of money and find a spouse in my twenties, but to instead seek calling, pour into my community, and grow in my knowledge of and relationship with the Lord. Ready or Not is at once inspiring and practical. It provokes dreams of what your twenties can be and provides tools to see those dreams become reality. I recommend this book to anyone who desires to live life to its fullest potential in these formative years.
