1. If you have one, what is your favorite literary romance, and what makes it your favorite?
The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger. For me it’s the perfect blend of the fantastic (time travel!) and the everyday. I think the best romances, in literature and in real life, have to have elements of both.
2. What is your favorite Valentine’s memory, or what is the most romantic thing anyone ever did for you?
My husband proposed to me by hiding the ring inside a copy of The Princess Bride, which rated pretty high on the romance scale!

1. If you have one, what is your favorite literary romance, and what makes it your favorite?
It’s not your typical romance story, but I was captivated by Willa Cather’s My Antonia. It captures the notion of what agape love can mean between two people.
2. What is your favorite Valentine’s memory, or what is the most romantic thing anyone ever did for you?
On February 14, our local White Castle breaks out the white tablecloths. That’s where my wife and I are making reservations this year.
