Thank you for the Word Studies.

Quite interesting also is the information that “christos”, as a Greek adjective appeared also in Greek secular writings. Thanks for this teaching.

I travel once a month doing a 235 kilometre round trip to two country churches plus speaking at my home church
I bought the NLT. Because it was the only “lay flat” Bible I could buy at the time but this explanation is extremely helpful
I am coming to love the NLT more and more

For example, we would not properly say “Edward King;” we would say, however, “King Edward” or “Edward the King.” We can reinforce the reality of His identity by reinforcing by saying/writing, for example, “Jesus the Christ” or “the Christ” came to earth and was born as Jesus/Yeshua in Bethlehem. Other examples include…
We are baptized in the name of the Christ.
Christ Jesus was the Son of God.
Jesus of Nazareth, son of Yousef, was the Christ.
As the Messiah, Jesus fulfilled the Scripture’s predictions
Peace in and through Him,

Wishing you God’s blessing from South Africa.
