I had been given a TLB New Testament when I was 16, when I had just submitted to the Lordship of Jesus, and comparing and contrasting it with another translation that became more widespread in the mid-80s was an eye-opener for me. The TLB rendition of Romans 14:23 is still what’s branded in my brain, because of how it simplified and clarified that verse: “Anyone who does what they think is not right sins.” It’s been how the Lord resolves “gray areas” for me for three and a half decades now. I’ve been wondering why I haven’t been seeing any copy (even in online bible sites) — mine was lost in the fire that took my childhood home and my mom — but now that I’ve read this, I understand why it’s gone out of circulation. Please extend my thanks to Mr. Ken Taylor for sharing his work beyond his family.

I for one am most grateful for the NLT. Introduced to it a few years back from my adult daughter. Our family having to endure some major life storms, the understandability of the Word Of God surely brought us through! Thank you, for all of the hard work & for being a vessel for the Lord to use.
