Best of luck to Team USA on the event finals! It has been so much fun to watch!

    • Rose Enochs

Gymnastics is my favorite sport to watch in the Olympics. It was great to see the US girls take the gold medal! I loved watching Shawn compete. Gabby reminds me of her so it was great to see her win! I’m so happy for Chow too!

    • Rachael

Gymnastics is one of the best sports to watch in the Olympics by far! I have always been inspired to see these amazing athletes flip their way to the podium in such perfection. I’m intrigued by all events, but the uneven bars always excites me the most. I can still remember the feeling I got when I was little and finally got my chinup pullover. I’ve gotten pulled away from gymnastics lately, but have been discussing going back real soon!
Good luck Team USA & congratulations to the Women’s team for an impressive win!

I have loved watching gymnastics since I was a kid. What gymnasts can do with their bodies is utterly amazing. The display of athleticism is unmatched. I always wanted to be a gymnast, but ironically I have never even done a cartwheel. Go USA!

    • Tonya

I love watching gymnastics because I am a gymnastics coach and my daughter is a gymnast herself. We love watching all the events because they keep you on your toes. Congratulations Gabby and Aly they both deserve medals.

I love gymnastics! It’s been my favorite event at the Olympics since the Mag7 in 1996 – I watched obsessively and my parents let me stay up well past my bedtime so I could follow the USA team!

    • Jessica

My favorite gymnastics event has to be the floor excersise. It’s so fun to all the flips and tumbles! I love watching gymnastics because it’s amazing at what these girls all around the world can do! I was so happy when the fab five wo gold! I was in tears watching them get the medals! I couldn’t be more proud of the US gymnastics team, men and women!

    • Tina

I can appreciate how difficult gymnastics is because I was a gymnast and now my daughter competes in gymnastics. Team USA makes everything look so easy and flawless but skills keep getting more and more difficult. Like Aly Raismans parents, I too squirm around in my seat when watching my daughter compete! Congrats Team USA! We are all so proud of you!!

    • Katy

      I love watching Gymnastics!

    • Fernando

I love watching gymnastics since I was young the first where the one in Atlanta where I fall in Love of Dominique Moceanu ever since every olympic games I fall in love of a new US Gymnast in Athens 2004 was Carly Patterson in Beijing 2008 Shawn Johnson and now in London 2012 is Mckayla Maroney or Jordyn Wieber (still making the decision lol).
My favourite routine is the floor where they combine such amazings movements with music and rythmn.

    • Laura Oyler

Congratulations to team USA! Everyone is so proud of you girls! You deserved that gold medal! Way to rock it!!!

    • Amanda Meek

I love watching gymnastics. The USA gymnasts were amazing yesterday! It was so great to watch them. I can’t wait to see them perform in the individual finals and all-around. Best of luck to them all! They are now Olympic champs!!

    • Crystal531

I have watched gymnastics on the olympics since I was a child. It is so fun and the girls are so excited!

    • Molly

I have always loved watching Gymnastics ever since I can remember. My favorite gymnast was Carly Patterson when I was 9 years old and I would run around my house doing cartwheels pretending to be her. She was my idol and watching her on balance beam and uneven bars made me love that event so much more. In the last Olympics when Shawn Johnson and Nastia Luikin would be up for their events I would make my mom let me stay awake to watch them. Even if I could just be awake for two events. Watching gymnastics always makes me wish I had chosen gymnastics instead of dancing. I feel like the teams always act like a family and it’s so wonderful to watch everyone congratulate their teammates.

    • Christy Stroud

    • Andrea

I enjoy watching the gymnastics portion of the Olympics because I feel like a part of the team. My favorites are the beam and floor. I love how these routines in particular show different sides of the gymnasts. It is either their strengths or the gracefulness. I am so happy that Team USA won the gold! They deserve it!

    • Michelle Sze

I’ve been a fan of gymnastics since the MAG 7, and following USA gymnastics all the way until now, the FAB 5. I love watching gymnastics in the olympics because you can see all of the heart, spirit, and drive these girls have in addition to the gravity defying, high flying routines they perform. It’s no surprise gymnastics is one of the most followed events come Olympic season. GO TEAM USA- it’s their time to shine, the journey has just begun!

    • Jeff Oien

Having exercised for decades, I can appreciate that gymnasts have the best balance of strength, coordination, flexibility, endurance, skill and everything else an athlete needs. Watching them use all of these attributes at once is amazing.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t get into gymnastics until the 2008 Olympics. Watching the women’s gymnastics dream team of the ’08 Olympics has changed me forever. I fell in love with the sport and wished that 16 years ago my mom enrolled me in a gymnastics class. So instead of being a gymnast at the Olympics, I am in college studying to become a physical therapist to hopefully work with the USA Olympians in the future.
Gymnastics is really the most difficult sport in the world. I love watching how gymnasts perform so well under the watch of millions of people around the world. They do skills that I would never dream of doing. My favorite gymnastics event is probably the balance beam because I am always floored at how much the girls can do on that 4 inch piece of wood. I can’t even do a cartwheel and the girls are tumbling across the beam.
I am so proud of our girls taking home the gold. It was a long time coming and they deserve all the glory!

I love watching gymnastics because I am a gymnastics coach and my daughter is a gymnast herself. We love watching all the events because they keep you on your toes. Team USA is the best and they should keep their head held high and just be proud they made it where they are. GO USA!!

    • Susan Lawrence

Way to go women’s team! I’d love to read Shawn’s memoir. I almost added it to my Kindle the other day but decided I was too consumed with watching live Olympics to get to reading it quite yet :-)

    • Bflohe65

I love gymnastics because it proves that if you fight for what you want there is nothing that can stop you, gymnastics inspires so many girls and it makes little girls everywhere wanna be the next “Shawn Johnson” and who dosent want there dreams to come true? I have loved gymnastics since I watched Mary Lou Retton in 1984. I remember watching her late one night and the next day my mother and I were at the store, and Mom commented to someone we had been up late the night before and the lady said, “Wasn’t she wonderful?” because all of our state was watching her!
