SURVIVING FINANCIAL MELTDOWN
Authors Ron Blue and Jeremy L.White Address the Current Financial Crisis

Carol Stream, IL – In troubled economic circumstances, people are looking for practical help and deeper spiritual perspective, as offered in Surviving Financial Meltdown, a new Focus on the Family book by financial experts Ron Blue and Jeremy L. White. Tyndale House Publishers will release this valuable new resource on January 15, 2009. This book is the focal point of a unique promotional campaign to help CBA retailers impact their communities during these tough economic times. Tyndale is partnering with CBA, Focus on the Family, and Salem Radio Network in a “Campaign Financial Aid” promotional program, exclusive to CBA retailers, which continues through April 15, 2009.

Surviving Financial Meltdown provides a blueprint of biblically-based financial principles to implement during both calm and crisis. Drafted by trusted financial experts Ron Blue and Jeremy White, this book’s step-by-step plan addresses what to do and what not to do in challenging economic times and features practical advice for everyday financial decisions, plus an appendix with over 40 money-saving ideas. The authors previously teamed up on Focus on the Family’s Complete Guide to Faith-Based Family Finance, published in 2008 by Tyndale.

“As this new book addresses the current financial crisis and responds to questions people may have on how to navigate through these difficult times, we have developed a campaign around the January release of Surviving Financial Meltdown,” said Jeff Rustemeyer, Associate Publisher at Tyndale House. “We feel so strongly about the financial principles that Ron Blue and Jeremy White offer that we want to make sure that even those who can’t afford this book can obtain it for free just by visiting their local CBA store.”

CBA retailers who enroll in the campaign will receive quantities of the book at a deep discount with add-on incentives. With the purchase of 28 copies, retailers will also receive four free copies of the book (total of 32) to give away to customers who cannot afford to buy it.

The trade paper book has a retail value of $12.99, but it will be featured at $7.97 during the three-month promotional campaign. Retailers should contact their Tyndale representatives for complete details.

“These are challenging times, for our customers and our industry, and this is an opportunity for us to join together to reach out and minister to people in need and remind them of biblically-based foundational financial principles relevant in all times,” said Bill Anderson, President of CBA (Christian Booksellers Association.)

The Surviving Financial Meltdown initiative will be supported by a national marketing campaign including radio advertising and promotion, publicity, promotion by Focus on the Family, and local marketing advertising with Salem Radio Network, plus in-store promotional materials and church outreach materials.
