Carol Stream, IL--Tyndale House Publishers continues to celebrate a long relationship with award-winning, bestselling novelist Francine Rivers in announcing the acquisition of her next new full-length novel. This contemporary story, still to be titled, is her first non-series release since And the Shofar Blew, (2003). A spring 2009 release is planned.
Featuring a historical plot and a parallel contemporary storyline, the new novel is centered on four generations of mothers and daughters – their life choices, struggles, triumphs, and ultimately, God’s freedom when the women choose to sacrifice – forever – the way they have lived.
Whether it is contemporary, historical, or a novel based on biblical characters and events, the Truth revealed in Jesus has been the focal point of every Francine Rivers’ novel since 1986. Subsequently, Francine has written several bestselling novels which have been awarded or nominated for numerous awards including the Rita Award, the Christy Award, the ECPA Gold Medallion, and the Holt Medallion in Honor of Outstanding Literary Talent. In 1997, after winning her third Rita award for Inspirational Fiction, Francine was inducted into the Romance Writers’ of America Hall of Fame. Her Gold Medallion Award-winning historical novel, The Last Sin Eater, first published by Tyndale in 1999, was recently re-released in a limited special movie tie-in edition to correlate with FoxFaith Films’ 2007 movie and DVD release.
Francine Rivers has “championed” the writing of novellas with her bestselling five-book Lineage of Grace series (nearly 800,000 sold), followed by the Sons of Encouragement series (over 250,000 in print), which will be completed with Tyndale’s release of The Scribe, #5, in July, 2007 In September 2007, Tyndale House will publish Bible Stories for Growing Kids, a collaboration of Francine Rivers and her daughter, Shannon Rivers Coibion.
